Nery Rodas

is a distinguished business administrator and Guatemalan politician

Born in Quetzaltenango, he has a solid academic background, holding degrees in Business Administration, Information Technology, and Business Management.

His political career has been active and diverse. Rodas Méndez served as a congressman in the Congress of the Republic from 2012 to 2016 and later as a councilor for the Municipality of Guatemala.

Currently, he represents the CABAL party as a national list deputy for the 2024-2028 term, during which he also holds the position of third vice president of the Congress of the Republic of Guatemala.

His influence and leadership extend beyond his legislative roles; he actively participates in three important committees: Foreign Affairs, Agriculture, and Tourism.

In these committees, he makes significant contributions to the development of policies that promote growth and the well-being of Guatemala in these essential sectors.

Additionally, by delegation of the President of Congress, Rodas Méndez coordinates the Presidential Forum for the Digital Transformation of the State of Guatemala. Through this forum, key legislation is discussed and generated for the digitalization, simplification, and automation of procedures, aiming to reduce bureaucracy and address other critical issues such as personal data protection and cybersecurity.
